Ohio State football is one win away from adding to its championship pedigree and storied history.
And there appears to be a strong contingent of Buckeyes’ fans that have flocked to Atlanta and Mercedes-Ben Stadium to watch Ohio State win its potential ninth national championship title.
Ohio State is scheduled to kick off at 7:30 p.m. ET in the College Football Playoff championship game against No. 7 Notre Dame and former Buckeye Marcus Freeman.

Headlining the group of notable figures at the game are four-time NBA champion LeBron James and Philadelphia Phillies first baseman Bryce Harper.
LeBron, who hails from Akron, Ohio, narrated Ohio State’s CFP championship game hype video. The Lakers have an off day in their NBA schedule on Monday after playing the Clippers Sunday night at the Intuit Dome.
“It’s always been us. It is and it will always be Ohio Against The World,” LeBron said. “Our story is unfinished. Our story has one last chapter to write: the Chapter of Champions.”
Similarly to James, Bryce Harper didn’t attend Ohio State and is a Buckeyes fan by extension of his wife, Kayla. Kayla Harper, formerly Kayla Varner, played for Ohio State’s women’s soccer team from 2013-15.
Former Buckeye defensive lineman Chase Young was also seen on the field at Mercedes-Benz Stadium during pregame warmups. Young was drafted with the second overall pick of the 2020 NFL Draft by the now Washington Commanders after an illustrious career with the Buckeyes.
