Eli Drinkiwtz has guided Mizzou to consecutive top-25 finishes for just the sixth time in program history.
But how did the Missouri football coach construct his final ballot?
This season, the Tigers’ fifth-year head coach was among the 55 FBS coaches who voted in the US LBM Coaches Poll. Mizzou ended the season ranked as the No. 20 team in the final poll, which was released Tuesday. The Tigers also were the No. 22 team in the final AP poll, meaning they have finished the year as a ranked outfit in back-to-back seasons for the first time since 2013-14.

Drinkwitz was a little bit more bullish about his own team’s ranking, placing Mizzou at No. 15 in his final ballot. In his final rankings, he ranked MU above Alabama, South Carolina, and Texas A&M, all of which beat the Tigers in 2024.
Missouri (10-3) defeated Iowa in the Music City Bowl on Dec. 30 in Nashville, Tennessee, to secure consecutive 10-win seasons for just the third time in program history.
“The win totals isn’t important, but being ranked — to start the season and finish the season ranked is a heck of an accomplishment for this senior class,” Drinkwitz said after the Music City Bowl. “It’s something that they should take a lot of pride in. Back-to-back seasons finishing ranked is an unbelievable accomplishment of our program. I’m really, really proud of it.”
