National Signing Day for 2025 is only a couple of weeks away and Jackson area high school football players will be deciding in the coming days on where their next home will be in the near future.
Several of the area’s top players have already signed after the early signing day period in December.
Here is a list of the Jackson area players who signed to play football during the early signing period last month near the end of the 2024 high school football season.

When is National Signing Day 2025?
National Signing Day for Division I football is on Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2025.
Recruits, who did not sign during the early signing period in December, are able to sign on Feb. 5. The cutoff date for class of 2025 recruits to sign with a Division I program is April 1.
What is National Signing Day?
National Signing Day is the traditional first day of the college football signing period for high school seniors. Mid-year junior college players have their own signing dates, so National Signing Day has been celebrated for its exclusivity to high school players.
For a long time, it was the only signing day for high school football seniors. That created a drama-packed 24 hours filled with commitment flips, since every player in the nation eyed that as the opening day of the signing period.
That changed with the addition of a December signing period in 2017. A number of players utilize the early date, namely top recruits, to lock-in roster spots. But it’s beneficial for some players to wait. College rosters (and coaches) can change, and recruits can enhance their options with the extra time after the season.
