Ohio State’s national championship trophy is in Columbus this week. Here’s where to see it

The Buckeyes are home from Atlanta — and so is their national championship trophy.

The 24-karat gold-plated trophy that was presented to the Buckeyes on the field Monday at Mercedes Benz Stadium is making its rounds in Columbus this week. The trophy will be on display:

Thursday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Meijer at 100 Polaris Parkway in Westerville

Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Giant Eagle on 840 W. 3rd Ave. in Grandview

Friday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Kroger at 12116 Sycamore Trace

Ohio State Buckeyes head coach Ryan Day and players celebrate with the trophy following the 34-23 win over the Notre Dame Fighting Irish to win the College Football Playoff National Championship at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta on Jan. 22, 2025.

The trophy stands 36 inches tall and weighs 50 pounds, and the gold piece by itself weighs 20 pounds, according to the College Football Playoff.

Can’t make it to one of the trophy displays? You can watch the Buckeyes accept the trophy again on the field at Ohio Stadium this weekend.

The team will celebrate with fans at noon Sunday at Ohio Stadium, according to an announcement on the national champions’ website. The event is free along with parking. Ohio State said it expects to release more information at a later time.
