It’s been 42 days since UNC football announced Bill Belichick would be the Tar Heels’ next head coach.
On Wednesday, Belichick and UNC announced that 21 players have been added to UNC’s roster in the last month as the Tar Heels begin the journey toward spring practice and ultimately the 2025 season opener on Aug. 30 against TCU at Kenan Stadium.
“We’re excited to welcome 21 new players to UNC-Chapel Hill,” Belichick said in a school-issued statement. “Their integration with our current roster marks a significant step forward as we work together to elevate our program in the right direction.”
During the early signing period in December, UNC added seven players from the Class of 2025.
Other high school recruits could choose the Tar Heels once the normal signing day period begins Feb. 5. UNC will also likely be active when spring transfer portal window opens on April 16.
