OXFORD — Even as Ole Miss football coach Lane Kiffin builds his strong 2025 transfer portal class, the Rebels are picking up commitments for 2026.
Class of 2026 wide receiver Jameson Powell committed to Ole Miss on Wednesday. He announced the decision on social media. Powell is a three-star recruit in the 247Sports Composite rankings.
Powell is the No. 65 receiver in his class and the No. 42 player in California.
The 5-foot-11, 170-pound receiver plays for Folsom. Intriguingly, Powell is teammates with five-star quarterback recruit Ryder Lyons. Kiffin visited Lyons after Ole Miss’ season ended in the Gator Bowl.
Ole Miss’ 2026 class remains small for now. Powell is the second recruit in Kiffin’s 2026 class, joining three-star Zion Legree, who is listed as an athlete. Legree is a 6-1, 190-pound prospect out of Florida.
