Ohio State will celebrate national championship Sunday at Ohio Stadium

Jan. 24—COLUMBUS — Six days after beating Notre Dame to win the College Football Playoff, the Ohio State Buckeyes will celebrate their national championship Sunday at Ohio Stadium.

Gates open at 10:30 a.m. for the free event, which is open to the public. The program lasts from noon to 1 p.m.

According to an Ohio State press release, “Parking lots will be open beginning at 8 a.m. Parking for the Championship Celebration will be free for all fans in the parking lots surrounding Ohio Stadium in addition to the surface lots near St. John Arena and the Schottenstein Center. Parking will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis. The West Stadium lot will be a reserved lot. ADA parking will be available in the East Stadium lot. Limited concessions items available at stands inside Ohio Stadium including water, hot chocolate, coffee, popcorn.”

Ohio State Athletic Director Ross Bjork will emcee the event. Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine, Columbus Mayor Andrew Ginther, Ohio State President Walter “Ted” Carter and Ohio State coach Ryan Day will speak at the event, as well as select players.

Fans can watch the event live on the Big Ten Network and WBNS 10-TV.
