After a stellar first season at Arizona State, Sam Leavitt has put himself in the conversation as one of the best returning quarterbacks in college football.
According to one site, he’s the best returning QB in the game.
On3.com has released its 2025 QB rankings for the Top 25 quarterbacks in college football and Leavitt, who will be a sophomore in 2025, is No. 1 on the list.
Of Leavitt, Thomas Goldkamp wrote: “Few went from off the radar to firmly in the national spotlight the way that Leavitt did with Arizona State in 2024. The Michigan State transfer instantly took charge of the offense and helped lead the Sun Devils to the College Football Playoff. As far as the numbers, Leavitt threw for 2,885 yards and 24 touchdowns, against six interceptions. He also ran for 443 yards and five scores. There’s room to improve both totals going forward into the 2025 campaign.”
