Florida State has been busy on the in-state recruiting trail, and added a commitment from another Sunshine State player after a successful Junior Day.
Amari Clemons, a four-star running back out of Marianna, committed to the Seminoles on Monday afternoon. Clemons is the sixth pledge to join Mike Norvell’s 2026 class, all of which hail from Florida. Florida State added a commitment from senior tackle Chastan Brown on Sunday night, hours after losing five-star quarterback pledge Brady Smigiel.

Clemons is one of the top running back prospects in the state, and pledged to Florida State after his second visit to Tallahassee in as many weekends. Doak Campbell is just over an hour away from Marianna high school.

Height, weight: 5-foot-10, 190 pounds
What to Know: Clemons named the Seminoles over Auburn, Ole Miss, Miami, and Florida. His addition bumps Florida State to No. 9 overall in 247Sport’s 2026 Class Composite rankings.
He rushed for 1,880 yards and 34 touchdowns on 153 carries through 10 games for the Bulldogs. He added another 247 yards and three scores on 14 receptions. Marianna finished the year 10-1 before falling to FSU High in the first round of the Class 2A regional playoffs.
