FSU football 2025 predictions: Now that we know the games, here’s how Seminoles will do

The countdown to the 2025 season has begun for Florida State football. FSU’s schedule was officially revealed on Monday.

FSU will open the season against Alabama at Doak Campbell Stadium. After a historically bad 2-10 season, Mike Norvel turned the page, vowing the loyal FSU supporters that he would fix the issues that needed to be fixed.

He shaped his coaching staff by adding Gus Malzahn as his offensive coordinator and Tony White to run his defense.

He went to the transfer portal to add depth, experience, and size on both sides of the field. Now, the question is, will this all generate wins?

With the schedule set, here is our early prediction.

Analysis: The Alabama game will set the bar for FSU. It is one of the four toughest teams on its schedule and will be its season opener. FSU is no stranger to facing SEC opponents at the start of the season.

FSU has beaten LSU in back-to-back years in the 2023 and 2022 seasons. A win against the Crimson Tide could put FSU on the national pedestal.

It also won’t be a surprise if FSU goes on a losing slump against other opponents like Florida, Miami, and Clemson, All of which are high-caliber, and the FSU may not be quite there yet.

The Seminoles will improve once the chemistry on both ends is in sync. Eight wins may not get Norvell back in the playoff picture, but they could put FSU back on track after going 2-10…
