Missouri State football adds productive Dallas-area linebacker to 2025 recruiting class

Missouri State football has added its third incoming freshman out of Texas in the last month by landing the commitment from Caleb Olabode on Monday evening.

Olabode is a 6-foot-2, 205-pound linebacker from Arlington (Texas) High in the Dallas-Fort Worth metro area. The Bears offered him seven days before his commitment. He recently visited campus, and he will now join the Bears’ revamped linebacker unit.

His numbers from his senior season were impressive. He recorded 143 total tackles with 20 for a loss, three sacks and seven forced fumbles.

Olabode’s recruitment never took off. His first Division I offer came from FCS Stephen F. Austin in December before the Bears offered last week.

He is the third linebacker to commit to the Bears’ 2025 class. MSU will likely look to add more following the departures of starters Tahj Chambers and Dallas Winner-Johnson to the transfer portal. Michael Teason and Jared Lloyd, who are already on the roster, are candidates to fill their roles next season.
