National signing day is one of the biggest, most anticipated days of the college football offseason, the moment when players from across the country put pen to paper and formalize their relationship with the school they’ll soon call home.
In recent years, however, some of the event’s spectacle has eroded, with many top prospects signing with their programs of choice two months earlier during the early signing period.
Colorado is no exception to that larger trend.

Heading into their third season under coach Deion Sanders, the Buffaloes have pieced together a strong class of high school recruits. Led by four-star quarterback Julian Lewis, Colorado’s 14-player 2025 high school recruiting class is among the top 40 nationally in 247Sports’ team composite rankings.

How many players did Colorado get in the early signing period?
All 14 of Colorado’s committed high school players from the class of 2025 signed with the program during the early signing period, which ran from Dec. 4-6.
The overwhelming majority of those signees took it a step further, with 13 of the 14 players having already enrolled at the university. The lone exception is Zane DeSouza, a 6-foot-6 tight end from Loveland High School in nearby Loveland, Colorado.
Lewis is the headliner of the group, a former USC commit who could end up being a long-term answer at the most important position for Sanders’ program.
