Changes coming to Colorado State football offensive staff

Matt Mumme has been named CSU’s “pass-game coordinator” in addition to his role as associate head coach.

The Colorado State football team is making changes to its offensive staff.

Matt Mumme has been named CSU’s “pass-game coordinator” in addition to his title as associate head coach.

Bill Best will be the “run-game coordinator” in addition to his continued role as offensive line coach.

CSU has not confirmed if in-game play-calling duties will shift. Head coach Jay Norvell has called the offensive plays since taking over the program for the 2022 season.

Mumme and Norvell have worked together dating back to their time at Nevada and Mumme could be a candidate to call plays if a change does take place.

Additionally, Chase Holbrook has been promoted to quarterbacks coach after serving as an offensive analyst for CSU the past three seasons.

Mike Goff has been named an assistant offensive line coach after serving as a volunteer coach on the offensive line last season.

James Finley has been promoted to wide receivers coach to replace Chad Savage (who departed for USC). Finley has previously been CSU’s tight ends coach.
