College football coaches have been busy on the recruiting trail. On Friday, the winter recruiting period came to a close, but LSU football coach Brian Kelly had one more stop to make with one of the nation’s top prospects.
According to John Eads of WAFB, Kelly checked in with 2027 quarterback Elijah Haven.
Haven is a Baton Rouge recruit in LSU’s backyard. The Tigers offered Haven in September and have been heavily recruiting him since. According to On3 and 247Sports, Haven is the best quarterback in his class. It’s early, but Haven is looking like a “can’t miss” prospect for LSU.
LSU has a couple of solid options in 2027. Along with Haven, Garrett Nussmeier’s younger brother Colton is in the class. Peyton Houston is another 2027 blue-chip quarterback who calls Louisiana home. LSU needs to land at least one of those three.
Haven is a multi-sport athlete, and Kelly was in attendance for Haven’s basketball game. Eads shared a highlight from Haven below.
