Notre Dame has entered the Mack Sutter recruiting sweepstakes.
The Dunlap four-star junior tight end has picked up a scholarship offer from the Fighting Irish, running his tally to 43 scholarship offers since last January. ND offensive coordinator Mike Denbrock was in central Illinois on Friday.
In the last week, Sutter has seen offers extended from Florida State, North Carolina, Colorado, UCLA, USC, Texas and Washington. He’s also received visits from four different Big Ten Conference head coaches in Barry Odom (Purdue), Bret Bielema (Illinois), Kirk Ferentz (Iowa) and James Franklin (Penn State).

UNC general manager Mike Lombardi and offensive coordinator Freddie Kitchens were also at Dunlap on Tuesday.
Sutter released his 12 finalists in August, listing Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, Illinois, Michigan, Missouri, Nebraska, Ohio State, Ole Miss, Penn State and Tennessee in his dozen.
