As the February signing period approaches, there’s been a lot of movement for recruits in terms of rankings. The ranking services are finalizing how they see the breadth of the high school recruits, coming out with their final tallies and moving recruits up and down accordingly.
This week, On3 revealed its final 2025 rankings and there’s been a lot of movement among the Michigan football contingent.
Michigan five-star quarterback Bryce Underwood, of course, is the star of the show, and was listed as On3’s first-ever perfect score 100-rated recruit. And the Wolverines’ other five-star, Andrew Babalola, remained as the No. 14 overall prospect in the country. But there was a lot of movement outside of those players. Here are the notable moves up and down or otherwise notable prospects that Michigan has signed.

Defensive tackle Travis Moten is the biggest mover, having gone from an unrated three-star recruit that others had in the one-thousands, to being a four-star at No. 133 overall. Nate Marshall, the defensive lineman who was committed to Michigan before flipping to Auburn and flipping back before signing day in December, made a move from 94 to near five-star status. Underwood’s high school teammate, safety Elijah Dotson, moved up from unlisted four-star to No. 129 overall.
But not all moves were good. Cornerback Shamari Earls moved down from what would have been five-star status to No. 88 overall. Earls was injured his senior season and that could have contributed to his fall in the rankings. Perhaps the most perplexing, however, is wide receiver Andrew…
