Georgia’s top WR commit visits USC Trojans

Georgia Bulldogs wide receiver commitment Vance Spafford visited the USC Trojans over the weekend. Spafford, who has been committed to Georgia since November, is an elite wide receiver recruit in the class of 2026.

Spafford is a four-star wide receiver and plays football for Mission Viejo High School. He’s put up some monster numbers in high school and projects as a player who could see playing time right away at a major college football program.

Spafford is ranked as the No. 56 recruit in the 2026 cycle, per 247Sports. The four-star is the No. 9 receiver in the nation and the No. 9 recruit in California.

The North Carolina Tar Heels and Alabama Crimson Tide have both made a recent push for Spafford. The Mission Viejo standout is one of Georgia football’s five commitments in the class of 2026. Head coach Kirby Smart and Georgia have the No. 12 recruiting class in the nation. The Dawgs recently added a commitment from four-star IMG Academy safety recruit Zech Fort.
