Penn State will have a five-star commitment in its incoming Class of 2025 when all is said and done. Interior offensive lineman Malachi Goodman saw his recruiting ranking awarded a coveted fifth star this week from 247Sports in the final player rankings update before the traditional National Signing Day coming up in a few days.
Goodman was one of 27 players who already signed with Penn State during the early signing period in December. The top-rated player from New Jersey, according to the 247Sports rankings, is also the no. 5 interior offensive lineman in the nation. Goodman also owns a no. 19 overall national ranking from 247Sports.
Goodman is a four-star recruit according to Rivals. Goodman committed to Penn State in September 2024 after a handful of recruiting visits to Happy Valley.
Penn State has also signed four-star tight end Andrew Olesh, the top-rated player in Pennsylvania. Penn State’s top tight end recruit is the no. 46 player overall in the 247Sports composite rankings. Another top-100 player, four-star cornerback Daryus Dixson from California, is also in Penn State’s latest recruiting class (Dixson is ranked no. 88 overall).
Penn State’s Class of 2025 is ranked no. 20 overall in the 247Sports composite team rankings, which also accounts for transfer portal additions. The recruiting class alone ranks no. 15 in the latest team rankings, giving Penn State the no. 5 recruiting class in the Big Ten.
