Wisconsin football a finalist for hotly pursued class of 2026 tight end

Wisconsin class of 2026 tight end target Landen Miree included the Badgers in his list of finalists on Sunday.

The 6-foot-4, 215-pound pass-catcher included Wisconsin alongside Vanderbilt, Pittsburgh, Missouri, Washington, Auburn, Arizona State, Florida State, LSU, Cincinnati and Arkansas. The Ohio native received his offer from Luke Fickell’s program back on April 6, 2024.

Prior to crafting his final list, Miree received over 30 offers from some of the most prestigious programs across the nation. Oregon, Indiana, SMU, Texas A&M, Florida and Louisville were among those suitors.

247Sports lists the Princeton High School product as the No. 481 overall recruit in the class of 2026, the No. 26 tight end and the No. 22 prospect from Ohio. Rivals, On3 and 247Sports all consider Miree a three-star prospect at this stage of the recruiting process.

Miree, who also plays varsity basketball for Princeton, notched 29 receptions for 404 receiving yards and six touchdowns in seven games during the 2024 slate. To put that in context, he registered just one reception for 11 yards and one touchdown as a sophomore.

Without any clear front-runners emerging, Wisconsin is certainly in the mix to land Miree. On3’s recruiting prediction machine places the Badgers as one of the more likely landing spots for the senior playmaker at 15.7%. As of Feb. 2, 247Sports has yet to release a crystal ball prediction, while zero Rivals’ analysts have crafted FutureCasts pinning Miree to Madison.

Wisconsin’s class of 2026 still includes just one commitment — three-star offensive lineman Benjamin Novak.
