Notre Dame football sets date for annual Blue-Gold Game to close out spring practice

SOUTH BEND — Notre Dame football will conclude its fourth spring practice under coach Marcus Freeman with the 94th Blue-Gold Game on Saturday April 12.

Kickoff is set for 2 p.m. at Notre Dame Stadium, and the controlled scrimmage will be streamed live on Peacock.

Tickets start at $10 and are available for online purchase.

Season-ticket holders are eligible to claim free tickets and purchase additional seats at a discounted rate using a unique promo code.

Coming off a 14-2 season and a runner-up finish in the inaugural 12-team College Football Playoff, Notre Dame will hold its first true offseason quarterback competition since 2022.

With Duke transfer Riley Leonard headed off to the NFL, rising fourth-year backup Steve Angeli will battle redshirt freshman C.J. Carr and redshirt sophomore Kenny Minchey for the starting quarterback job.

Notre Dame has imported its starter via transfer in three of the past four seasons, including Jack Coan in 2021 and Sam Hartman in 2023. Tyler Buchner beat out Drew Pyne for the Opening Night start in 2022, then returned after a Week 2 shoulder injury to claim Gator Bowl MVP honors.
