Texas A&M is a finalist to land 2026 4-star TE out of Colorado

Texas A&M’s tight end rotation was put together in a hurry last offseason amid OC Collin Klein’s first season with the program, as Tre Watson, Theo Melin Öhrström, and Shane Calhoun combined for 521 yards and three touchdowns through the air in Klein’s run-heavy system.

While Watson and Calhoun never truly lived up to their receiving potential, Melin Öhrström’s 184 yards and two touchdowns showed a player with plenty of ability and athleticism in his second full season but, outside of his memorable five receptions and 111 yards against New Mexico State, the sophomore needs to put the work in this offseason to become a reliable option.

Coach Mike Elko and his staff are focused on the 2026 recruiting class this offseason, which includes the No. 1-ranked prospect in Colorado, four-star tight end Camden Jensen. Last week, Jensen included the Aggies in his top 7 program list, joining Florida, Nebraska, North Carolina, UCLA, Missouri, and Washington.

Standing at 6-6 and 230 pounds, Jensen is already an established run blocker who can spread out in the passing game and expose small matchups against zone defense.

According to 247Sports, Jensen is currently positioned as the 210th-ranked prospect in the 2026 cycle, the 13th-ranked tight end, and the No. 1-ranked prospect in Colorado.
