The Georgia Bulldogs have hired former South Carolina Gamecocks linebacker Bryson Allen-Williams. Allen-Williams served as the assistant linebackers coach for the USC Trojans.
It is unclear what role Allen-Williams will have with Georgia, but he is seen as a rising star in the coaching industry. The former South Carolina linebacker recorded 176 total tackles and 6.5 sacks for the Gamecocks from 2014-2018.
Allen-Williams is a Georgia native. He is from Ellenwood, Georgia, and played high school football for Cedar Grove High School, which is a powerhouse high school program in Georgia.
Allen-Williams is a former team captain and brings leadership to UGA. Allen-Williams joins a Georgia defensive coaching staff that features defensive coordinator and inside linebackers coach Glenn Schumann and outside linebackers coach Chidera Uzo-Diribe.
Georgia has a tremendous amount of talent in its inside linebackers room right now. However, the Bulldogs lost seven of their eight leading sack producers from 2024, so they will be using a lot of inexperienced players in their front seven this fall.
