Two signing periods have come and gone now that National Signing Day is officially in the books.
After taking care of most of its Class of 2025 recruits in December, Bret Bielema and Illinois football signed only one high school player on the traditional signing day Wednesday. Illinois signed 21 recruits during early signing day.
Illinois closes out with the No. 45 overall class, according to the 247Sports. Four-star linebacker Grant Beerman, a 6-foot-4, 220-pounder from Ohio, highlights the class.
The Fighting Illini 2025 recruiting class ranks 12th in the Big Ten Conference behind No. 4 Ohio State, No. 5 Oregon, No. 6 Michigan, No. 14 USC, No. 15 Penn State, No. 22 Nebraska, No. 23 Washington, No. 25 Maryland, No. 27 Wisconsin, No. 33 Rutgers and No. 38 Iowa.
