The Longhorns are not expected to receive any National Letters of Intent on Wednesday, which is National Signing Day. All 25 of Texas’ Class of 2025 commitments have already signed or enrolled.
And the Longhorns are hardly alone. There are just three prospects ranked inside the top 300 of the 247Sports Composite rankings who have not already signed.

In one of many recent changes that have altered the fabric of college athletics, the introduction of an early signing period has trivialized the traditional National Signing Day, which is slotted in early February every year. Some programs will use signing day to introduce their transfer portal classes, but transfers do not sign National Letters of Intent.
The 25 Longhorns’ signees all put pen to paper during the early signing period from Dec. 4-6.
Introduced by the NCAA in 2017, the early signing period has quickly become the most common time for high school recruits to ink their NLIs.
