Another top recruit is off the board as 2025 National Signing Day continues.
South View’s leading rusher from last season, Rashad Dockery has signed to play football with UNC Pembroke after a historic season got his name in the NCHSAA’s record books.
As a senior, Dockery finished fourth in the NCHSAA 4A East classification in rushing yards with 1,543 total on the season, and 154.3 yards on the ground per game. The power back also made history for himself after tying an NCHSAA touchdown record with eight on the ground against Gray’s Creek, where he set a single-game program record with 320 yards – topping Christian Rutledge’s 306-yard record from almost exactly one year prior.

“It came down to a mix of trust and opportunity. I wanted to go somewhere that truly believed in me and where I could continue growing as a player and Pembroke checked all those boxes, and I felt like it was the best place to take my game to the next level,” he said.
