The 2025 Big 12 schedule is out for all 16 teams in the conference, but not every schedule is created equal.
Each Big 12 team plays nine conference games, meaning some teams will face more difficult opponents and others could have an easier slate of matchups.
Which Big 12 teams have the toughest schedules in 2025? Which have the easiest?
We rank every conference team’s strength of schedule by FBS opponent winning percentage in 2024 from easiest to most difficult (obviously every Big 12 team won’t have the same record this season as last season, but this gives us a starting point for how difficult each conference’s schedule could be in 2025).

1. Texas Tech: .460
The Red Raiders face Arkansas-Pine Bluff, Kent State and Oregon State in non-conference games. They get Kansas and BYU at home but have to play at Arizona State and at Kansas State in four big conference matchups.
2. Baylor: .507
The Bears host Auburn in a non-conference game, but play at SMU. They host Arizona State and Kansas State in conference play.

3. Kansas: .511
The Jayhawks host Fresno State in a non-conference game and play at Missouri in another. They host Kansas State in Big 12 play, but have to play at Texas Tech and Iowa State.
4. BYU: .518
The Cougars’ non-conference slate includes Portland State, Stanford and East Carolina. They have to play at Colorado, Iowa State and Texas Tech in three marquee Big 12 matchups.
Arizona State and BYU don’t face each other in the regular season in 2025, which helps both schools to have easier Big 12 football strength of schedule rankings.
