UCF Knights football: What’s next for Scott Frost’s team after National Signing Day

ORLANDO — National Signing Day passed on Wednesday, effectively closing the book on a turbulent 2025 football recruiting cycle for the UCF Knights.

New coach Scott Frost completed his coaching staff hires, delved into the NCAA transfer portal, added a handful of under-the-radar high school prospects and learned the order of opponents ahead of UCF’s third Big 12 season within his first two months back on the job.

Let’s take a quick look back and a glance at what is to come for UCF following the first day of the traditional signing period.

How many high school/JUCO players did UCF sign?

UCF’s final count, as of Thursday morning, stands at 15 players.

The Knights landed 11 recruits in the middle of their coaching search. The full list, in alphabetical order, from the early signing period in December is:

Frost’s staff was busier than expected patching roster holes Wednesday with the addition of four more high school seniors. They are:
