Illinois football Class of 2026 commitment tracker: Illini class breaks into top 10

Illinois football has spent the offseason stacking up recruiting wins.

Coach Bret Bielema and the Illini had a turnaround 2024, winning 10 games including the Citrus Bowl. They retained an incredible 18 of 22 starters, added multiple transfers and secured another 22 players in the high school Class of 2025.

But what about the future? That looks good, too.

Illinois is climbing the charts for its Class of 2026 recruiting class, according to multiple internet sites. Here is a look at each of the committed members of the class, along with a look at how the Illini class stacks up.

Kaedyn Cobbs: The 6-foot, 195-pound linebacker from Denton (Texas) Guyer committed on Feb. 7, 2025.

Cam Thomas: The 6-foot-2, 217-pound linebacker from West Chester (Ohio) Lakota West committed on Feb. 6, 2025.

Victor Singleton: The 6-foot, 160-pound cornerback from Toledo (Ohio) Central Catholic committed on Feb. 1, 2025.

Jacob Alexander: The 6-foot-4, 240-pound edge rusher from Frankfort Lincoln-Way East committed on Jan. 27, 2025

Kenyon Alston: The 6-foot-2, 185-pound receiver from Orlando (Fla.) Bishop Moore Catholic committed on Jan. 23, 2025.

Landen Von Seggern: The 6-foot-3, 280-pound interior offensive lineman from Omaha (Neb.) Millard South committed on Jan. 15, 2025.
