Texas A&M’s 2025 recruiting class is filled with talent at every level, as the program’s 25 signees, including several blue-chip prospects. Still, the focus was clearly on building the offensive and defensive line with 10 signees in the trenches.
Focusing on the defensive line, On3’s 300 prospect rankings in the 2025 cycle revealed that 14 of the program’s 25 signees were included in the rankings, led by five-star offensive tackle Lamont Rogers and five-star wide receiver Jerome Myles.
Within On3’s 2025 defensive line rankings, three of the program’s DL signees made the top 50, as four-star Chace Sims (20th), four-star DJ Sanders (22nd), and four-star Landon Rink (44th) representing what will be Texas A&M’s starting defensive line over the next three seasons.
In comparison, Texas, Tennessee, and Auburn landed three, three, and four defensive line signees in the DL rankings, led by five-star Justus Terry, who chose the Longhorns over Georgia in the final months of his recruiting journey, primarily due to an enhanced NIL deal.
Under coach Mike Elko and defensive line coaches Sean Spencer and Tony Jerod-Eddie, an emphasis on athleticism instead of solely focusing on size came into play during the recruiting process, traits that Sanders, Sims, and Rink all possess in droves.
Texas A&M’s 2025 recruiting class finished 9th nationally and 6th in the SEC, Mike Elko’s first top-10 recruiting class during his tenure.
