Texas football landed a late commitment for its 2025 class, and it came from a local product.
McCallum High School quarterback Luke Dunham announced his commitment to the Longhorns via social media on Sunday. He’ll join coach Steve Sarkisian’s team as a preferred walk-on, per a report from On3.
According to MaxPreps, Dunham completed 164 of his 265 passing attempts during the 2024 high school campaign with 28 touchdowns and eight interceptions. He passed for 2,635 yards.

He joins a crop of 2025 recruits for Texas that ranks as the top in the country according to the 247Sports Sports Composite. It’s the third time since 1999 that the Longhorns have landed the top-ranked recruiting class in the nation.
Dunham will provide some added depth to the Texas quarterback room moving forward. He joins four-star Saraland, Alabama, native KJ Lacey, another offseason freshman addition for the Longhorns at quarterback.
