The Cleveland Browns have hired Adam Morris as their new assistant defensive line coach.

A native of Dublin, Ohio, Morris brings a strong track record of success at multiple coaching stops, making him a valuable addition to Cleveland’s staff. Morris began his coaching career at Eastern Illinois, where he spent three seasons as the defensive line coach.

In 2023, Morris moved to Ball State, where he played college football and served as team captain. In his return, this time as a coach, he served the team yet again as both the defensive line coach and run game coordinator. He was instrumental in leading the Cardinals to a second-place finish in the Mid-American Conference in total defense (315.8 yards allowed per game) and rushing defense (111.6 yards per game).

Morris most recently coached at the University of Buffalo, where he helped lead the Bulls to 33 sacks, which ranked third in the MAC. During the season, his defensive line also set a school record with 92 tackles for loss.

In Morris, the Browns have added a coach with a proven ability to develop talent and maximize player potential. As the Browns continue to fight for a playoff berth in the hyper-competitive AFC, Morris’ coaching chops will be tested in leading a Cleveland defensive line that may be without its best player, Myles Garrett.
