Texas A&M football recruiting: Xavier Tiller, a 4-star TE, decommits from Aggies

Texas A&M football lost a big-time recruit on Tuesday when four-star tight end Xavier Tiller from Fairburn, Georgia, decommitted from the Aggies’ 2026 class.

The 6-foot-5, 225-pound prospect initially committed to A&M in November. He appears to have changed his mind and is now opening his recruitment, he told On3’s Hayes Fawcett.

As a sophomore at Langston Hughes High School, Tiller caught 25 passes for 352 yards and 7 touchdowns. He participated in this year’s Under Armour All-America game with other top prospects in the 2025 and 2026 classes.

It’s a blow to the Aggies’ 2026 recruiting class, which 247Sports’s composite rankings currently have No. 2 in the country. A&M now has one committed tight end in the class, a pledge from Caleb Tafua out of California. There’s not a five-star pledge yet, but the class is anchored by seven four-star prospects, including Douglas County (Ga.) High School teammates, Jordan Carter, a defensive lineman, and wide receiver Aaron Gregory.

The Aggies are now deep into the offseason program, with spring football on the horizon.
