Wisconsin football extended an offer to class of 2026 wide receiver Justin Williams on Tuesday.
Williams, a rising senior at Buchholz High School in Gainesville, Florida, is the former high school teammate of Wisconsin class of 2025 signee Nicolas Clayton. Clayton, who is among the group of early enrollees to join the Wisconsin program earlier this winter, finished the 2025 cycle ranked by 247Sports as the No. 194 player in the class and No. 22 edge rusher.
Wisconsin is back in familiar territory for the offer to Williams. The wide receiver is currently unranked by 247Sports and On3, though Rivals lists him as a three-star recruit. The Badgers join an offer sheet that also includes Iowa, Ole Miss, USF, Tulane and Wake Forest. On3 lists in-state USF as the clear favorite to land Williams’ commitment at this early stage in the class of 2026 cycle.
The 5’10” wide receiver still has a full year of high school football to establish a consensus star rating and rise in the national rankings. If Wisconsin joins his top list of suitors, Clayton could prove the difference in the Badgers landing a commitment.
Wisconsin’s class of 2026 currently has just one player committed: three-star offensive lineman Benjamin Novak. The program is beginning to fill its mid-summer official visit weekends and establish its top targets in the class. Time will tell if Williams joins that group.
