Alabama basketball’s Derrion Reid is officially out for Tuesday’s game against Texas.
The freshman was listed as questionable in the SEC student-athlete availability report heading into the trip to Austin.
Coach Nate Oats told reporters ahead of Arkansas that Reid would be “game-to-game” after sitting out against the Razorbacks.

Also sitting out for Alabama (20-3, 9-1 SEC) are Houston Mallette (knees) and Latrell Wrightsell Jr. (Achilles tendon; season-ending).
Reid, a four-star out of Prolific Prep (Napa, CA), was averaging 7.2 points and 3.4 rebounds per game for the Crimson Tide. He’s struggled to get back to 100% since first sitting out with a boot on his right ankle against South Dakota State in December.
