The next time Michigan football will take the field at Michigan Stadium is now officially set.
The Wolverines will play their annual Maize vs. Blue spring game on Saturday, April 19 at noon, with the game to be televised on Big Ten Network, the program announced on social media Thursday afternoon. In 2024, when the game was also announced as a noon kick, gates opened at 11 a.m. in order to allow fans to file in.
It will be the first chance for fans to get a live look at Team 146, which will likely be highlighted by a quarterback competition between Fresno State graduate transfer Mikey Keene and the nation’s No. 1 incoming freshman, Bryce Underwood out of Belleville.

Head coach Sherrone Moore will be in Year 2, as will defensive coordinator Wink Martindale, but it will also be a chance to see first-year offensive coordinator Chip Lindsey (who came from North Carolina) and what his offensive philosophies look like, and how he will work in other transfer pieces like running back Justice Hayes (Alabama) and wide receiver Donaven McCulley (Indiana).
Senior quarterback Davis Warren and the Maize team defeated Alex Orji and the Blue team last year, 17-7.
Michigan’s exact spring schedule hasn’t been announced, however it is generally six weeks long and working backwards, that would mean there’s a decent chance the practice window will open around Monday, March 10.
