Auburn football to receive official visit from No. 2 safety in 2026 class

Auburn football remains in the hunt for one of the top defensive backs from the 2026 cycle.

Bralan Womack, a four-star safety from Brandon, Mississippi, included Auburn in his recently trimmed recruiting list and will officially visit the Plains on June 13.

Womack visited Auburn in January and had a “great experience” he tells Auburn Live. He connected well with Auburn’s staff, which caused the Tigers to skyrocket into his top four over programs such as Alabama and Tennessee. Auburn’s coaching staff will have another opportunity to build a relationship with Womack when he arrives on campus in the middle of June.

As it stands, Ohio State is the favorite to land Womack according to On3’s recruiting prediction machine, followed by Auburn, Texas A&M, and Florida. Womack says that Ohio State’s history of putting defensive backs into the NFL stands out when it comes to the Buckeyes. Auburn, Florida, and Texas A&M will also get strong looks before he announces his commitment this fall.

Womack is the No. 2 safety from the 2026 class according to On3’s industry rating, 247Sports, and Rivals. He is also the No. 2 overall recruit from Mississippi. Auburn’s 2026 class currently ranks No. 9 nationally according to 247Sports with four four-star commitments.
