Clemson lands three new crystal balls for a 4-star offensive lineman in the 2026 class

Dabo Swinney and the Clemson football program made noise when they hired Matt Luke as the team’s offensive line coach, and the Tigers have not regretted that decision since.

Not only has the program seen an immediate boost to the play of the offensive line, but the recruiting up front has also take a significant jump in the right direction. The future looks bright for Clemson’s offensive line with Luke around, and things could get even better for the Tigers if these crystal ball predictions come true.

On Thursday, Clemson received three crystal ball predictions to land four-star 2026 Avon Lake (OH) offensive lineman Maxwell Riley. The highly-touted offensive lineman is down to two choices, Clemson and Ohio State. With one crystal ball prediction back in January for Ohio State, three predictions in one day a couple months later is an excellent sign for the Tigers.

According to 247Sports website rankings, Riley is a Top 100 recruit in the 2026 class. He currently ranks as their No. 7 offensive tackle and No. 70 overall player in the class. Clemson competing for top-tier offensive linemen is a beautiful thing. Even when the Tigers were at their peak, they weren’t crushing recruiting on the offensive line.

Hopefully, we will see this lead to a commitment from Riley.
