MANHATTAN — Kansas State football coach Chris Klieman has made two more changes to his coaching staff.
Three days after promoting Matt Wells to offensive coordinator, Klieman announced Thursday that he is moving Brian Lepak from tight ends to offensive line coach and named Drew Liddle assistant offensive line coach.
The changes came after offensive coordinator and offensive line coach Conor Riley left last week to be the offensive line coach of the Dallas Cowboys. Klieman still has one staff vacancy, for a tight ends coach.
“Not only is Brian one of the top young coaches in our conference, but his background and experience with the offensive line made him the logical choice for this role,” Klieman said. “It was also important to have two coaches work in the trenches with our guys, and elevating Drew to assist Brian provides us stability and allows for a smooth transition.”
Lepak, a former offensive lineman at Colorado State and Oklahoma, joined the K-State staff in 2021 as a senior quality control assistant before taking over as tight ends coach in 2022. Before that, he was offensive line coach at Southern for the 2020 season.

“I am grateful that Coach Klieman and Coach Wells have the faith in me to take this next step in my career,” Lepak said. “I am excited to get back to coaching the offensive line and building on the many things I learned from Coach Riley.
