The Oregon Ducks have been on a recruiting tear over the last three years under Dan Lanning, earning three straight top-10 classes, and two straight top-five classes, both of which were named the best in program history. Going into 2026, it appears that Lanning is working to top that once again.
Early indications are that the Ducks are going to sign the best class in the nation in 2026. They already have the No. 1 ranked class in the nation with seven of the top 150 players already committed. However, they aren’t even close to finished, with some big fish still left on the board.
Some huge fish, rather.
Oregon is currently after 5-star OT Jackson Cantwell, 5-star QB Jared Curtis, and 5-star OT Immanuel Iheanacho, who ranked No. 1, No. 2, and No. 3 in the nation, per the 247Sports Composite, respectively. Not only are the Ducks after those three 5-stars, but they are thought to lead for those three 5-stars. Of course, there are still about 10 months until signing day rolls around, so getting any of these prospects to commit and stay committed will be a challenge, but at this point in the recruiting cycle, the Ducks are viewed as the top team.

5-star OT Jackson Cantwell
Cantwell recently named his top six schools, listing Georgia, Miami, Michigan, Missouri, Ohio State and Oregon. The relationship built between Lanning and Cantwell is strong, and with the Ducks’ prowess both in football and track and field, Oregon stands out as a strong choice.
