Report: Notre Dame looking at the SEC to fill recruiting staff role

Unfortunately, Notre Dame football had to replace more than a few of its front office staff members this off-season, and the search is still ongoing.

While the attempt to lure Texas Tech GM James Blanchard was in vain, it looks like the Irish have eyes on another Southern school staff member in Auburn’s Kenyatta Watson according to a report by On3’s Pete Nakos.

The role is not for the GM position, but should still be viewed as an important potential hire for Notre Dame. As we all know, the Tigers managed to flip the Irish’s most coveted prospect in quarterback Deuce Knight during the last recruiting cycle, so you have to believe that Watson would be more than capable in that role if he was to accept it.

This most likely is the first name of many that Notre Dame is targeting to be part of the front-office, and we will obviously be keeping an eye out for anyone else that is connected to the Irish.
