East Central University head football coach John Litrenta has announced the addition of 49 student-athletes to the Tiger football program for the 2025 season, including 32 high school signees and 17 midyear transfers.
“This is a really strong class that addresses our needs,” said Litrenta. “Our staff did an outstanding job identifying young men who fit our culture, community, and program. We made a focused effort on strengthening the trenches, with 23 of the 49 signees being offensive and defensive linemen. The midyear transfers bring valuable experience to fill gaps left by graduation, and their maturity will be key moving forward.”
Included in that list is Ada High School standout Isaiah Hayden, who played on the offensive and defensive line for the Cougars. Hayden signed with the Tigers as a defensive player.
Hayden picked up 64 tackles for the Cougars during a stellar senior campaign.
Another player with Ada ties who has signed with the Tigers is Guthrie High School standout Kolten Carlock. He is a former Ada High athlete who played with the Cougars during his freshman, sophomore and junior campaigns.
The high school signees include 10 from Oklahoma and 22 from Texas, while the midyear transfers consist of 15 university transfers and two junior college transfers.
The new class of Tigers consists of five running backs, nine wide receivers, 14 offensive linemen, five defensive backs, nine defensive linemen, three linebackers, two safeties, one cornerback, and one kicker/punter.
