When is 2025 Colorado spring game? Date, tickets, football schedule and more

By any measurement, Colorado’s 2024 football season was a resounding success.

Under coach Deion Sanders’ watch, the Buffaloes went 9-4, marking just the second time since 2003 they had won at least nine games in a season. Travis Hunter became just the second Heisman Trophy winner in program history, earning the honor 30 years after the late Rashaan Salaam. Sanders’ son, Shedeur, was the No. 4 passer in the FBS while piloting an explosive, entertaining offense.

Four months after that run ended with a loss to BYU in the Alamo Bowl, another Colorado season is set to begin — at least unofficially.

On March 11, the Buffs will begin spring practice heading into their third season under Sanders, who has worked to retool the roster after significant personnel losses, namely Hunter and Shedeur Sanders, both of whom are projected top-10 picks in the 2025 NFL Draft. Sanders and his staff worked to offset those voids with additions like Liberty transfer quarterback Kaidon Salter and four-star freshman quarterback Julian Lewis and others through the early signing period and National Signing Day.

Those weeks of practices and workouts will conclude with the program’s annual Black & Gold Day, which will be highlighted by the spring football game.
