Muenster and Collinsville were well-represented on the 73rd annual Blue Bell/Texas Sports Writers Association’s Class 2A all-state football team.
Muenster tackle Zack Smith, a senior, was named to the First Team Offense, as well as junior tight end Garrett Hess and Collinsville senior linebacker Garrett Trevino.
Senior Caden Klement, a wide receiver for Muenster, and senior place-kicker Sam De La Mata were named to the Second Team Offense. Muenster sophomore kick returner Maverick Bayer earned Second Team Defense honors.
Junior quarterback Casen Carney represented Muenster on the Third Team Offense, as well as Collinsville’s Isiah Smith, a junior place-kicker.
Muenster linebacker Simon Johnson was named to the Third Team Defense, and Collinsville sophomore quarterback Jaxon Jenkins earned Honorable Mention.
