In the new world of college football, it seems as if the transfer portal never stops moving. As fans know, recruiting never stops, and the same can be said for transfer portal recruiting as well.
Despite the transfer window not totally being open, there are still prospects that are out there that are trying to find a new home and are still fielding recruitments. One of those prospects is Ferris State standout running back Kannon Katzer. Katzer will have two years of eligibility remaining.
In 2024, Katzer ran the ball for 1,128 yards, while adding 301 receiving yards and 14 total touchdowns. A dynamic play maker that helped lead the Bulldogs to the D2 National Championship.
According to a report, Michigan State is in contact with the transfer running back. The Spartans, with such a young depth chart, are most likely looking to add one more veteran body to the running back room and they might not have to look far to do it.
While he is at nearby Ferris State, Katzer is originally from Spokane, Washington, and originally attended Washington State, before transferring to Ferris State.
While there is no steam to this recruitment yet, it is definitely something to keep an eye on.
