JISD Board of Trustees could name new athletic director/head football coach Tuesday

The Jacksonville Independent School District Board of Trustees, along with superintendent Brad Stewart, could name a new athletic director/head football coach for Jacksonville High School during Tuesday’s board meeting.

According to the meeting Agenda, which was posted Friday, the board will meet in executive session beginning at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday to discuss several items, including the hiring of a new athletic director/head football coach.

At 6:30 p.m., the regular meeting will begin, and one of the subjects on the agenda is to consider and approve the hiring of an athletic director/head football coach.

The job of athletic director/head football came open when Jason Holman resigned in mid-Dec. 2024.

The JISD Board of Trustees Meeting will take place at the JISD Administration Building, 800 College Ave.
