Jayden Paluseo capped one of the most productive careers of any quarterback to come out of the Coastal Bend in December.
Since then the accolades have continued to roll in for the UTRGV-bound signal caller.
On Thursday, the 2024 All-South Texas most valuable player was named to the first-team on the 73rd annual Blue Bell/Texas Sports Writers Assocation Class 5A all-state football team.
Paluseo threw for 4,183 yards and 56 touchdowns to go with 543 yards rushing on the season, guiding Flour Bluff to the Class 5A Division I regional final, falling to eventual state champion Smithson Valley.
Miller had a trio of second-team honorees: guard Devin Cage, running back Broderick Taylor and linebacker Lamarcus Cullum.

Flour Bluff receiver Andre Mimms and Veterans Memorial senior Chris Vasquez (secondary) also were named second team.
Flour Bluff receiver Cameran Dickson, a Vanderbilt signee, Miller quarterback Trevor Long and defensive lineman Steven Richardson and Moody fullback Adrian Luna were honored as third-team members.
The Coastal Bend had its share of players earn honorable mention on the team: Gregory-Portland guard Kali’i Lemoiti and safety Brent Nuss; Veterans Memorial tackle Joaquin Montes, running back Andrew Charlebois, linebacker Zachary Smith and kicker Ryan Carmona; along with Miller receiver Eathen Vela.
