The 2026 recruiting cycle is heating up with the classes’ top prospects scheduling official visits for the summer. One of Auburn’s 2026 pledges has plans to visit the Plains this summer, but Hugh Freeze and his staff must use that time to keep his interest alive and sway him from joining another program.
Four-star linebacker Shadarius Toodle will take his official visit to Auburn on June 13. He will visit Georgia, Michigan, and Florida before visiting Auburn and will close his tour by visiting Baylor on June 20.
“All these schools have kept in contact with me. And they’ve all came down to visit me — some in-house and some at school — even some of coaches came to my games,” Toodle said in a recent interview with On3. “They all stayed in touch with me throughout my commitment to Auburn, which was very important. And I just want to be absolutely certain when choosing college for the next 3 to 4 years.”
How challenging will it be to flip Toodle from his commitment to Auburn? Toodle says his pledge to Auburn is strong due to the relationships he has built with coaches and the team, which should ease the concerns of Tiger fans. However, it will be interesting to see how his recruitment unfolds this summer.
Toodle has been a firm commitment to Auburn since Big Cat Weekend last July. He is the No. 6 linebacker in the 2026 class, according to On3’s industry rankings, and is the No. 7 recruit from Alabama, hailing from Cottage Hill Christian Academy in Mobile.
