Notre Dame football isn’t able to lure SEC staffer to join its recruiting efforts

While Notre Dame football has been successful with its General Manager search with the hire of Mike Martin from the Detroit Lions, there is still another recruiting position that head coach Marcus Freeman is trying to fill.

One of his preferred option’s was Auburn Tiger’s Kenyatta Watson, and it looked like the Irish were going to lure one of the SEC’s best recruiters to South Bend, however, it doesn’t look like that will be the case. According to 247Sports Tom Loy, the Tiger’s Director of Recruiting will stay as he told him that they are trying to finish what was started there.

That clearly means that Freeman will have to make another pivot to fill the open position, in an off-season as has been full of making those kind of moves. So far it has worked out pretty well for Notre Dame, and the hope is that once again that is the case as they try and fill out the recruiting staff.
