Michigan football managed to land the No. 1 player in the country in 2025, with Bryce Underwood flipping from LSU to the Wolverines in late November, can they get the No. 1 prospect in 2026 to help facilitate his safety up front?
The Wolverines have been strongly after 2026 Nixa (Mo.) five-star offensive lineman Jackson Cantwell, who swung by Ann Arbor on a slew of visits in the recent past. Now, it appears that Cantwell will be back on campus next month to take in some spring practice of the maize and blue.
As reported by On3’s Steve Wiltfong (subscription required):
Cantwell is planning to see Miami, Ohio State and Michigan the third week of March. He’ll get a chance to observe a spring practice while seeing more of each program and continuing to build on his relationships with those respective staffs.
Wiltfong does note that Cantwell seems awfully keen on both Georgia and Oregon at this point in the process, but Michigan will have a chance to impress — though so will Ohio State and Miami.
Cantwell revealed a top six last month and the Wolverines were included along with all of the aforementioned schools, plus in-state Missouri.
