Notre Dame football isn’t quite done with making additions to its coaching staff, as another domino fell on Tuesday morning.
FootballScoop is reporting that the Irish are set to hire Dom Spalding as an offensive analyst who will focus on working with the wide receivers. The move was to replace the spot left open by Michael Bearden, who left to join the Cleveland Browns staff.
Spalding has previous experience at Wisconsin and Northwestern along with his alma mater of Youngstown State, where one of head coach Marcus Freeman’s mentors, Jim Tressel, was a former championship winning coach and president of the university.
Current wide receivers coach Mike Brown will now have help coaching a group that has a ton of promise which includes Jaden Greathouse, Jordan Faison, transfer Malachi Fields and a few others.
